AutoCAD: The Ghosts of Annotations Present

I hope by now that you’ve made the transition to annotative text. I simply love annotative text. Where was it years ago? Well it’s here now and it’s here to stay.
As great as it is, I have had some users who have asked how to get rid of the irritating “ghost” image that appear when the text is selected.
Here is the text in its normal state:
And here is the text when it’s selected for editing:

Not to fear, there’s a system variable here! Yes, there is a system variable that controls whether or not you receive these ghost images. Just type in SELECTIONANNODISPLAY and change the value from “1″ to “0″ and you will no longer these ghosts of annotations present.
