When working on Construction Documents you sometimes need to detail things that make your designs, Pop! You can place materials provided with Revit or you can migrate your existing pattern files into Revit as well.

In the past our approach would be to place “hatch” patterns to give greater visuals of the design intent. Pattern or (.pat) files can be found in the out of the box libraries. Also there are tons of 3rd party vendors that give patterns away or sell them for a decent price. Usually some type of subscription or having you join their group newsletter. These pattern files can be used in Revit and it takes some simple rules to make it happen. In this video I will provide some of the workflow and tips for creating/migrating your custom pattern files into Revit.
