In October 2016, Sasha Crotty with Autodesk published a blog about "The First-Ever Public Revit Roadmap". This blog did not get much attention in-spite of its futuristic strategy and useful content.
This Autodesk Blog lays down some ground rules and themes for each discipline. These are: Create, Optimize, Connect, Automate, Extend, Modernize, Strengthen. Autodesk uses disciplines, themes, and colors to keep track of the roadmap details. What is happening in the Factory? It is developing The Revit Core which is "the glue that holds Revit together. It includes technologies and features that are common across disciplines".
